World-renowned fur dressers & dyers
Withstanding the test of time
In 1981, Aizik Shneberg and Leonid Berger established Berg's Fur, Inc. in New York City's famous fur district. With almost 100 years of industry experience between them, the
company grew to become one of the world's leading fur dressers.

Today, doing business as A&L Berg, Inc.,
Aizik Shneberg operates a multi-story factory
in neighboring New Jersey, and is known
throughout the world for quality fur dressing
and personalized service.

Aizik Shneberg began his career in a small fur tannery in Riga, Latvia, in 1972. He immigrated to America in 1979 and continued to pursue his career in the fur industry. Leonid Berger got his start in Odessa, Ukraine, in 1967 and worked for a furrier after he immigrated to America the following decade. When the two met in Manhattan, it was only natural to start a partnership. Over the next 35 years, their business would expand to include an array of services and cater to clients around the globe. Although Leonid retired in 2017, the company continues to flourish, withstanding the test of time.
